As I try to ensure that my students have every advantage they will need for their future, I aim to help them become proficient with the responsible use of technology. This year is the first year that many of my students have used a laptop and have found that navigating the keyboard and trackpad can prove to be a challenge. Particularly when they are taking tests online, they are required to do new tasks such as "drag and drop," highlighting, and scrolling to find information. I hope to use these computer mice to help make sure that I am evaluating them on the content of these tests rather than evaluating how well they can use a computer. Rather than stressing out about having to click and drag something across the screen at the same time using the track pad, it is my wish that these mice will help alleviate some of the stresses of test taking so they can focus on the content of the test and not the mechanics of the test.
