Providing flexible seating for my classroom will not only benefit my current students but also those for many years to come. Choice seating increases student engagement and academic success while giving students freedom to choose their learning environment. Increased engagement regarding placement within the classroom enhances student ownership within the classroom. This enables students to work to the best of their ability. Furthermore, it gives students a space and place to feel comfortable thus helping create a calm and focused work environment. Finally, it presents students with the ability to work in collaborative groups. Cooperation, enhanced engagement and academic success are easily attainable when flexible seating is offered to students.

About my class
