My students love to learn and grow, but the curriculum is not accessible for them without significant modifications. They also have a variety of academic, physical, social, emotional, and communication needs that increase their frustration with common school activities. They require a variety of supports to allow them to have a meaningful and positive school experience. My students are able to learn most effectively through a variety of engaging and hands-on learning opportunities. They need to physically engage with the materials in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the materials. To support their learning, I need to add tactile learning supports, tools to create hands-on learning opportunities, as well as sensory materials to help them remain regulated throughout the school day. By supporting my classroom, you will help me provide the students with the materials they need to access their education and learn in the way that works for them, and allow them to reach their fullest potential!
