I provide many resources to our ESL students to help them learn English, but I've realized that the basic folders that I currently gave them aren't sufficient as all of their papers are disorganized. Folders with fasteners will allow a way for them to put their notes in the middle area and I can give them a Table of Contents sheet to put in the front. When they need to reference one of their notes, they can turn to the Table of Contents and see which page those notes are on. This will give them a way to use their resources more wisely and more effectively, as well as giving them something tangible to take with them when class is complete. In addition, the conversation cubes will be utilized at a Social-Emotional Learning Center I have called the "Chill Out Chair". Students can go there to decompress and I will not bother them. I have inspirational quotes surrounding the area, but I want to create "ice cubes" with mindfulness activities on each side of the cube where students can have something to tangibly touch and work through.
