These materials will allow us to engage students in a fun and exciting way that is also developmentally appropriate and strengths-based. We need to meet our students where they are at to unlock their greatest potential. Our students are eager to dig deeper to learn about themselves, work with well with one another, and make a significant contribution to their community; we are just lacking the resources to kickstart the excitement! The school counselor will be able to dig deeper in individual and group counseling sessions to allow students to self-realize their own goals. In Restorative Circles and Social Emotional Learning within Advisory, Middle School students will be able to incorporate movement, play, and teamwork to impact their person wellbeing as well as creating a strong community culture. Finally, school-wide morning meetings will be able to both incorporate mindfulness and fun to start our days right!
