I teach in a traditional classroom. Rows of small, uncomfortable desks facing the board. My students frequently ask to move around the room during work time, simply so they can spread out and get out of their seats. These flexible seating options will allow students more comfort and a space to themselves. With the ability to move throughout the room my students will be more focused and engaged. These seating options will also allow for more collaboration. My students love to work together, and when given the opportunity, they often end up working on the floor. This ends up as an uncomfortable option, and students are often readjusting to find comfort instead of getting work done. By providing my students with various seating options they will be able to comfortably focus and get their assignments completed. As an English teacher I know these seating options will allow my students the flexible options they need to stay engaged with my lessons!
