These materials will add excitement and curiosity while learning the fundamental and basic concepts needed to be successful in Kindergarten like letter and letter sound identification, numbers identification and counting. Applying these skills through play in preschool helps to build strong social emotional development between peers. The use of playdough and playdough mats helps young learners to build their finger and hand strength while also learning the concept of the playdough mat. For example, the emotion mats help young learners to identify emotions, what those emotions look like and how to express those emotions appropriately. Young learners are also able to better focus on letter identification while using playdough to learn letter forms. The math activities listed will bring some challenges to those young learners who are showing readiness for the next step like addition. Please help these kiddos get the most out of their preschool environment so that they can be ready for the next big step!
