Scholars will explore the science of stress management and developing the brain. Scholars will learn how to decompress and relax from stress situations. They will develop their own management techniques by exploring yoga. With health experts, they will explore the body's stress response system from their prefrontal cortex to their cortisol in their bloodstream. Yoga mat need to keep you stable in poses. When students put your body into a pose that is foreign and stick with it, they learn how to take a new shape. Taking this new shape with the body can lead them to learn how to take a new shape with the mind. "If practiced correctly, yoga asana breaks down the psychological, emotional, physical, energetic, and psychic obstacles that inhibit us from thriving," Stryker says.
