These Djembe drums will provide an outlet for students to bring their "beat" to our community circle and help synergize our pasts with our futures. Once students feel they belong to a community they have built ties to a group of people in a positive manner that will uplift them in times of need. This will also teach them a valuable life skill to tap into their wealth within themselves and notice this helps them build a strong community. Each student is unique in their own way and in middle school sometimes that seems to stand out more than usual. I'd like to bring their uniqueness to a drum circle on our campus and build great experiences for them at Lively.

About my class
