Each student will have his or her own space to work on math literacy. The students are concentrating on accuracy, fluency, and speed. They also challenge themselves to increase accuracy on the IXL computer program. These flexible seating options will help them improve their math skills and encourage them to do well on state testing while being in a non traditional setting. I teach in a community which has a high percentage of low income students who utilize the free and reduced lunch option, so I think it would make them feel special and make them more responsible for choosing their method of learning.
