Most students are excited about beginning a brand new school year; however this year bring new challenges. My school is located in Miami and due to the pandemic, I will need to begin the year teaching my students remotely. My goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible for my students. By receiving a whiteboard, I will be able to teach my students from home and continue to model math problems for them in a familiar method. The whiteboard will also give students a sense of normalcy since they are used to learning in this fashion. It will allow me to guide and model math problems. It will also allow me to move and be more interactive with my students, instead of just sitting in front of the computer monitor. Once we are back in school, the whiteboard will be used during small group instruction to help reinforce math concepts.
