The music stands are used multiple times each day, and from daily use, our current stands have become unstable and tough to use. We have been unable to fix them, and I'm sure you can imagine how difficult it is to play a trumpet while trying to see music that isn't held properly. Having an infusion of new stands will allow us to cycle out some of the old ones and replace those that we have lost due to overuse. They are kept in quality carts to keep them in good order, but they often have to be moved from the stage to the gym and back to the band room, which causes wear and tear.
