The students in Middle School that are identified as ESE are mainstreamed into the general education classroom. Most days I am mainstreamed into each of the classrooms with these students who are struggling to complete assignments on a particular grade level in 7th or 8th grade. Since these students are 2-4 grades behind I plan to use the Surface Go to help scaffold in the lessons where needed for the students that I am working with to fill in the gap or area they are behind in. By using the Surface Go it will allow the student to continue with the lessons whether writing, math, etc. and help them understand the outcome of the lesson. An example would be teaching positive and negative integers on a time line. I could scaffold in the various positive and negative numbers of a time line so the student can understand how to measure. Also I assist ESL students. The Surface Go can be used with the Rosetta Stone Program across all subject areas where needed.
