Our team would like to start a STEAM lab in our grade level MOD to give out kids more experience in building and creating with STEAM activities. We will be able to go to the lab in order to learn about building, movement, force and motion, addition, counting, as well as many other educational applications. The use of the STEAM Lab will help with our student' creativity, collaborative skills, high order thinking skills, communication skills and problem solving skills. Our students will use Learning Resources Gears to explore movement, while exploring various uses for gears. Students will use the stack-able blocks in order to re create pictures of buildings, other everyday items, numbers, letters, etc. on to the base plates. The students will use the foam blocks to build larger creations, while collaborating with their peers. We will create picture cards that they will follow to ignite their creative juices. All of these resources and material will be used to expand out students' creativity and collaborative skills.
