Being able to manipulate a 3D body system model will allow students to have an in-depth understanding of the human body. Kinesthetic learning has been proven to help students learn through touch, movement, and motion. I teach anatomy and physiology to 10th-grade students in the nursing program. These students are taking this class as an elective because they want to be college-ready. The human body system can be a lot to memorize and learn but with the help of 3D apps and videos that utilize kinesthetic learning, students are more engaged and absorb more knowledge. The 3D applications on the iPads are user-friendly for students and provide them with an opportunity to see and manipulate the human body in 3D which is something they can not get from a textbook! My students are dedicated and motivated to learn and would greatly benefit and utilize the many applications available on an iPad. I want to innovate my students and make learning fun! As a nurse, I only wish I had this technology available to me as a student. Many people are visual learners to begin with; however, once you add in the component of touch and manipulation you establish kinesthetic learning that increases the understanding of the material presented.
