My students are in inclusive classrooms, and many are performing 1-3 levels below grade level (currently I have 4th and 5th grade) in reading and math. We have no tablets for their use. With the tablets, they will have access to apps to assist with reading and math, and for remediation on school-based programs, along with other interventions such as the ability to talk-to text for one of my students who is 5 grade levels below grade level. Tablets will really help to engage the students, which is necessary as we MUST pull our sp. ed. out of the bottom 5% of the state.
