I am yearbook adviser for a school in Baton Rouge. We are a relatively new public charter school. This will be the very first yearbook for our school. Our club is only given $150 for supplies and materials. So far, I have been able to meet our needs without using or allotted funds. However, we are desperate for cameras. We were using our phones and chrome books, but they do not capture the richness of the moment. One or two good cameras will fulfill the last piece of this intricate process. The use of a high quality camera will facilitate lessons in photography, elements of design and digital augmentation. With the materials I have thus far, our yearbook club can't progress in a manner on par with schools who have access to resources.
