Currently, the desks in my classroom are older than many of my freshmen. My students have rarely, if ever, known what it is to have furniture in their classrooms that matches and isn't falling apart. These new tables and chairs will allow my students to collaborate on projects and literature students as well as peer edit each others papers. The nature of the high school student is to socialize, so tables and chairs instead of desks will give my students the real world collaborative skills they will need as they move to college and the work place, making them marketable in today's global workplace.
