International Junior Writers Club (IJWC) is an initiative that provides Alternative Education students of Odessa, TX and their partner international students with opportunities to collaborate with each other on writing projects or assignments from any subject areas. The goal of this project is to promote writing across the curriculum and global education. The majority of my students are at-risk and do not like traditional classwork, but they seem to be motivated academically when interacting with their international learning partners. The 6 Chromebooks that I am requesting will be added to the other 6 Chromebooks that my students are currently using. I got these 6 Chromebooks from my prize after winning the Great Global Project Challenge. Instead of using my prize for professional development, I requested to use it, instead, to purchase my first 6 Chromebooks for my students to use.
