Students at our school do not have books to read at home. They can check out books from the library but they don't have books they can call their own. We want to ensure that ALL students have a book to read at home! This helps build parent involvement by providing that at-home connection that many students are missing! In the morning, every day, we do a random drawing for "Rise and Shine to be On Time", an incentive to be on time to school, where students win a book of their choice to take home. Additionally, students are excited to win a cool book that they can share with their family!
