Eyes will light up with joy when they walk into the classroom and see new desks, chairs, and chair pockets. My students don't have much to take pride in when they enter the classroom and see their current desk and chairs. The new desks and chairs will give them the impetus they need to get more excited about coming to school and ready to learn. The desks surface area will allow enough space to rest their arms while publishing their masterpiece writings. The inside desk space will store pencils, books, scissors, crayons, paper, and Expo dry erase markers used for their white boards. All the necessary tools needed for their great minds to grow and flourish. New chairs to support their growing bodies will make them feel secure in their own private space while they give me full attention as I teach. It's a beautiful day to learn with such an inviting classroom full of new furniture and supplies! The red and blue chair pockets add additional storage for textbooks, and can house small food items they eat during our afternoon snack time. It will be great to hear all their questions, "Mrs. Taylor, where did all this come from? Did you buy this for us? Is this for real? We must be special. I'm glad you're our teacher." Hearing their inquisitive minds speak those questions and realizing someone cares enough to buy them new items to promote a positive learning experience is the best reward for any teacher.
