In our wonderful classroom full of many different children with all different kinds of special needs and disabilities we use food and prizes for ways of rewarding them for great things they accomplish. And along with many other factors, many of our children are not able to bring snacks for themselves in the day and this would help them feel better. When our children do something great or accomplish counting to five or whatever their personal goal is we like to make a big deal about it and reward them with nice cool treats and prizes. we love rewarding our kids with things when they have accomplishments.
