These materials will allow our students to experiment with new materials they have never seen before. They will give them experiences with science, nature, measuring, and develop their fine motor skills. We wish to provide a classroom that allows each child to develop to their individual potential. In our classroom we provide experiences and opportunities that many children are not provided with regularly, we just need more materials to help us do so. We hope to use the magnetic tiles and accessories to help their fine motor skills along with their creativity and allowing for a new way of building. We will also incorporate these tiles in our lesson plans to work in early mathematic practices (such as patterning). With the magnifying glasses, balance scales, and tweezers we hope to again build on fine motor but also have new resources to explore the world around us. These are all necessary scientific tools in a PreK class that we hope to be able to use soon. We have a classroom full of students interested in building and learning more about the world we live so we want to be able to support them in the best way possible with these materials.
