Transformations of rigid motions in the coordinate systems is sometimes difficult for students to grasp. The Geomirror shows transformations visually and then the students can apply this knowledge to the coordinate transformations rules algebraically. This manipulative is a perfect fit for collaborative and small group station discovery assignments. The Geomirror promotes group discussions among the students about what they observe in symmetry, reflections, translations, and congruence. Students will also be able to visualize the transformations of rigid motions such as translations, reflections, and rotations with the Geomirror. This geometric manipulative in conjunction with Geometric Constructions and Investigations Guide also promotes independent self discovery by the student without excessive teacher interaction.
