Having a tablet in my classroom will help me to build that tech-savviness into my lesson plans which will in turn do the same for my students. Mobile apps are not only engaging, but educational, for children as young as preschool. PBS Kids, in partnership with the US Department of Education, found that the vocabulary of kids ages three to seven who played its Martha Speaks mobile app improved up to 31%. Having the tablets would enhance my classroom greatly. I hope to enhance not only their reading skills but math and science as well. The tablets and headphones would be a great asset.
