With these lacrosse sticks and balls, I will teach the students basic throwing, catching, stick handling, and on-field maneuvering skills to play a game of lacrosse. In addition, I will be teaching my students about the history of lacrosse and where it originated. My students will appreciate learning a totally new sport, as they have only been exposed to American football, soccer, and basketball. I hope to also instill a sense of pride in the Native American students in my class, as they will learn about the history of lacrosse and how it has impacted their culture, as well as American youth and young adults.
