Flexible seating will encourage a student-centered environment where students will have the power of choice in deciding how they learn. Flexible seating will provide my students with the option of a more comfortable and unique learning environment when they need a change from the traditional desk setting. I want to give my students the responsibility of choosing their best learning environment and style. I believe that flexible seating will promote differentiation and creativity in my classroom and will help in meeting the needs of many of my students. Flexible seating can also promote better concentration, a longer attention span, and improved academic performance.
