These items will provide the right seating for students receiving instruction in the special education resource room. There many benefits to alternative seating in the classroom including (1) better attention/focus, (2) less restlessness, and (3) increased participation. Also, physical activity is correlated with higher academic performance, better overall health, and improved behavior. These sensory cushions, wobbly stools, and chair kick bands will help support students with movement and attention needs to be even more successful in their classroom. Additionally, "flexible seating" provides students with additional benefits such as (1) choice - Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment and, (2) comfort. The Right Seating = Greater Success! for our students.
