Due to Covid-19, school as we know it is going to look completely different this year. This also stands true in the music classroom. Studies have shown that singing is a “super spreader,” so this project will help us make music with out singing. This project will help me provide every student with an instrument. The dowel rods will be used to create rhythm sticks, which will also double as drum sticks. These will be joining materials I have already gathered to create egg shakers. I will also be providing tulle scarves for movement activities. The books I am asking for will help me develop engaging lessons without singing. The JBL Charge is a bluetooth speaker will help us listen, wherever we go. It gives us the freedom to have music class outside due to it’s long battery life. The JBL Charge also has an Aux input, so I can attach a CD player or if needed a microphone so student can hear instructions through the mask. The desktop easel will help me teach outside, on a cart, or virtually. Thank you for helping my students have a quality music experience in these weird, trying times.
