My students are in 7th and 8th-grade. My students come from many different backgrounds. They attend school at a Title I school and are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many students come to school each day ready to learn and face whatever challenges may come their way. During the day at school, the students have their work to focus on. They should not be thinking about being hungry, thirsty, in pain or hygiene issues. Having these items available to them keeps them at school and their parents or guardians at work. Healthy and happy students stay focused in class easier. They know at school we can help meet some of their comfort needs.
