All students have different learning needs. In my classroom, I teach K-5 students with disabilities. These students have various educational needs, and various reactions to different sensory stimuli. The products I have selected will provide opportunities for my students every year, as well as other students in the school with sensory needs to become the most successful learners they can be! Integrating sensory needs into a daily educational environment provides a foundation for more complex learning processes. With these sensory materials, my students will be able to address their sensory needs to access higher order thinking. Sensory integration allows for internal balance of these students with disabilities and can reduce anxiety and distress from challenging activities.
