A classroom should mirror what students can expect to find in their future work places: areas that are conducive to collaboration, problem solving, and productivity. Flexible seating is a means to an end... giving students opportunities to find what works best for them. Seating may not seem like the most important choice a person makes in life, but consider this: do you work at your best when told where to sit and what to sit on? When we are comfortable, we produce. This also opens up the classroom for my students like never before! Stuck working at a desk? Not here you're not!
