These flexible seating options and sensory engaging tools will enhance the classroom setting I strive to create. My classroom is print-rich and focuses strongly on affective social emotional skills and communication skills. My students often engage in creative writing and storytelling. We do weekly presentations showcasing their work. They love this so much and it's so exciting to witness! My only struggle is that they fidget and move too often without the seating to go along with the ambiance I'm trying to create. They get bored of the hard classroom chairs and move to the floor or sit on the small pillows I've provided. Many of my students struggle to get into the right head space to maximize their creative potential. I am hoping that these seating options and sensory tools will contribute to giving them the power of choice and getting them in the zone to inspire them to focus and stay on task. They are capable of so much more than they know. These options would truly excite and inspire them.
