We utilize 21st century resources in our classroom to help our students grow and develop as much adult independence as they possibly can. One of our goals is for students to have the ability to find and participate in recreational activities that they enjoy and can do on their own, especially when an adult isn't there to keep them preoccupied. Having these materials will allow for our students to explore different pieces of technology and find fun and appealing things that they will be able to do on their own. Once our students are finished with public school, they typically have a lot more independent time. Our hope for our students is that when they leave us, they will have the resources, knowledge, and skills that they need in order to live a fulfilling, happy life.
