If every student is unique, the classroom must be equipped to accommodate a diverse set of learning styles and needs. Middle school is an interesting time for students, so by having standing desks, clipboards, and fidget/sensory toys, students will be able to appropriately use their energy while maintaining focus on the curriculum. My students will each have their own chrome books soon, so having surge protectors will ensure that each device is charged and ready to go! Things like graph stamps, colored paper, caddies, grid paper, index cards, patty paper, card stock, markers, sticky notes, colored tape, file folders, tissues, and pencils will allow for students to create and display their work with more individuality, and be healthy and prepared for the tasks they have ahead of them. There are a variety of items on this list that will make the learning experience smoother and more enjoyable for all of my students. By having different mediums and tools, students can be assessed in a variety of ways and experience the benefits of blended learning. By having these tools in the classroom, my students will be more likely to succeed. Their motivation will increase, and their learning will be personalized.
