As I am instructing the students in small groups, we are able to see all the student work and discuss mistakes that may show up. The students will be able to see mistakes and work through the mistakes together. As students are working independently, I am able to monitor student performance and pull students for individualized instruction. The students are then comfortable working math problems. The students that are currently unable to use markers do not have the paper to solve problems; therefore additional markers are needed. If approved the students will continue to see the color and fun way of math. For example, as we are studying integer placement on a number line, students will be able to work at the tables and draw a number line similar to the example that I will show and take turn places the numbers on the number line. As the facilitator in the lesson, I will be able to assess student knowledge by the placement of numbers on the number line. The students will be able to do gallery walks and observe other groups numbers and comment on any that they chose by simply writing a note on the table by the number line. The students also take assessments on the computer and are able to solve problems on tables while they are working. Like the title states, I CAN SEE IT!
