Student's in all five engineering courses here at our school want the ultimate CAD and Technology operation. They want to learn all the new tricks and tips associated with computer aided drafting software. We are currently using Fusion 360. While operating the software, they go into another world of learning like I have not seen on other projects. Our class currently does not have updated headphones that are compatible with all the changes in technology. In class students have been very patient and respectful of sharing space, utilizing compatible computers for our outdated headphones, and making lemons out of lemonade. However, I can only see this going on for so long. CAD is a skill that cross over through generations and fields in engineering. It is a skill that will help them compete in their post secondary education and professional careers. The class set of headphones will help them engage and engulf themselves in learning. The opportunities are endless for this generation of engineers. They just need the necessary tools to be prepared and equipped.
