These materials will help make a difference to my students by having P.E. equipment that will last them for the next few years. My fourth and fifth graders are adventurous, curious and always excited and willing to participate in our P.E. activities. They are always ready and eager to learn whatever sport is planned for those days. Unfortunately the only thing that holds us back from really learning the proper sports and activities is lack of equipment. Last year we had two soccer goals and both of them broke, leaving our kids using colored cones for their self made goals. Some of the hand balls and basketballs that we have are worn down and some have holes in them, which leaves us with very limited options. The balls that we do have need air at times, so we do our best with the one small hand pump we have if we can find a needle. It is challenging to find ball pump needles because they continue to break. Every day I am asked what we are going to learn and if I need any help. My students amaze me with the willingness to learn and hopefully with new materials, they can learn different sports with the right equipment.
