We are a Kindergarten class in a small rural farming community in Nebraska. Our school is a Pre-K through 12th Grade building with 160 total students. We are a school-wide Title 1 School in a county with many low income families. In our room, there are 10 creative five and six year old students who are eager to learn as much about the world as they can. They are fascinated by stories and just love to participate in a wide variety of activities. A fellow teacher discovered this website and suggested it may be a possible resource that I could use to try to acquire learning materials for my classroom. Our school is like most schools these days...budget cuts and tax levy lids allow only so much available money for extra supplemental teaching items. The past few years we have been asked to request only essential items. Donors Choose is allowing me to find resources for my projects. Thanks for your time!
