Sensory pathway decals provide an outlet for students that need extra movement to get their wiggles out or just need a break from the information overload in the classroom. The pathways will be set up in the hall so that many students can reap the benefits including increased attention, emotion regulation, and improved working memory. The trampoline, weighted lap pad, and water beads will be used for students when they are feeling overstimulated and need to calm down in order to address anxiety and relieve stress. The transition from learning at home for the last year to learning in person has been challenging for some of our learners who need sensory input and extra movement breaks to help regulate their bodies and their emotions. These materials will provide the sensory support that our in person learners need to self regulate, focus, and adjust to the structure of in person learning while they find the strategies that will help them to recognize their feelings and work through them.
