As the 2020-2021 school year is beginning, art class as we know it has change in how projects are taught to the students. Students will need to create projects that are independent. Supplies will not be able to be shared. Students and teachers will not be together in the same room. Since we haven’t seen our students in months, I have no way to know what supplies they have at home. Students still haven’t been able to come to school to clean out their lockers. This project provides each student from grades 4-8 with materials to create their own hand-drawn flip books at home. Each student will be provided with 20 index cards to create their book. They will also have a pencil and eraser to draw on their own set of notecards and two permanent markers, one black and one colored, to add a color scheme to their drawings. This is a project that we can do together while we are apart that will allow students to be creative and to virtually interact over a common project.
