My students work best when they are comfortable with where they are sitting. Most frequently in a given lesson, I will have half my class sitting on the floor near the board or at a table group near the front. The other half will be leaning back in their chairs or going back and forth between sitting and standing. I want them to feel comfortable in their classroom. I think flexible seating choices will give them an environment they can be more successful in. Balance balls, clipboards, cushions and wobble chairs are options that I feel will allow my students to have safe options to sit in and have choices.
