Some books might sit on shelves forever never to be touched, but not these! They will be used daily as individual students keep them in their desks to be able to look at through the day. I will also use these books in instruction for the whole class, and even as the basis for science and art projects. Students will learn about things from space to ancient Egypt, and even to different types of matter. Every student will have the opportunity to have a book that makes learning exciting. We spend a whole month talking about the universe, focusing on the sun, moon, and earth. Having these books will help students to see what they cannot see with their eyes and understand what they can't hold in their hands. This is very important for younger students who need concrete ways to learn.
