Nathan Hale Middle School recently renovated their Learning Commons. The space has great potential, however, we do not have any hands-on activities for students to engage in [yet]. Therefore, I am reaching out to you on Donors Choose to help me create a makerspace, which will help students become better problem solvers, collaborators, and critical thinkers. By building up our makerspace here in the Learning Commons, students will be able to engage in more hands-on activities where they can tinker, explore, and create. These activities will give students the types of skills they need to grow their creativity and imagination in order to make a change the world. I envision having building, robotics, electronics, and design stations within the makerspace to enhance our students' learning experience in the new Learning Commons at NHMS.
