Students will be able to experience learning first-hand by travelling to Washington DC to see all it has to offer. Before the trip students learned about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the three branches of government, and how our government functions. On this trip my students will be able to see these documents and our government in action in person. We will be able to visit the National Mall, the White House, the Capital Building, the National American Museum of Natural History and so much more! It is important for students to make real life connections to what we learn in the classroom. By exposing my students to this they will be able to make the connections we read and learned about in class to the real world. This is the opportunity for students to make memories that will last a life time and I want to be able to give them this experience.

About my class
