My students are in the most important year of their academic careers. The main goal being: by year's end, they all will be able to read! Also, mastery of addition and subtraction is incredibly important before next year. I've gotten them excited to come to school, and now I hope to build my library of manipulatives and daily materials that will afford them the same experience that students throughout the district receive. Whiteboards will enable the students to more efficiently practice their letters, writing whole words, and working to complete 5-star sentences. Manipulatives for math will afford students the opportunity to become masters of addition and subtraction with more accessible practice. Partitions will assure that every student feels comfortable and can realize greater autonomy in their work. With your help, these students will become the most confident, reflective, and successful 1st graders!
