I teach AP Art History and I am always looking for short but well written texts to supplement the main textbook that we use. My students enjoy the short but eloquent essays in Neil MacGregor's book on 100 works in the British Museum that demonstrate important developments in world history. The essays can lead to thought-provoking class discussions. I have been making copies of many of the essays from my own copy; I would love to have set that so that students could borrow it for the year, and can read more of it on their own. Many works we study in the AP class are covered in the text.
