In order for the students to apply what they have learned in class, we raise chickens, bees and shrimp in our Animal Science classes. Students study genetics on the chicks we hatch. Probability vs. outcome. They learn beekeeping skills from the bees as well as learning to operate a business by selling the eggs and honey. The chickens need new feeders and waterers in order to maintain good health. The bee keeping supplies will help us collect the honey and put the product in the bottles to be sold. The money from the eggs and honey is used for our FFA Chapter to participate in camps, conventions, career development events and leadership development events.
