These resources with help my students learn about rhythm, music from other cultures (genres), musicianship, music appreciation, playing within a group and performing. This will enhance their understanding of music from other cultures as well as tap into their creative side. The materials I am requesting with help support students across the curriculum through math, geography, social studies and history. The variety of drums will allow the students to have a true, real-life experience of the sound and feel of world music. This is an extremely exciting project for our music students! This is a new addition to our music classroom, and there is no end to what the students can learn. This provides an opportunity to open their minds to new styles of music and learning.
