Help give my AP Psychology students BRAINS! My students would greatly appreciate the experience of dissecting brains to learn about the structure and function of neuroanatomy. Groups of 6 students will each have a brain of their very own to dissect during class. Not only will they learn about the structure and function of the different areas of the brain but students will also hone their fine motor skills with this hand-on activity. Maybe it's not rocket science but it is brain surgery! My AP psychology students will be able to identify and describe areas of the brain include the cerebellum, pons, medulla, cranial nerves, hippocampus, frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes, as well as other gross neuroanatomy. I am a firm believer that you don't truly understand something until you've have the opportunity to squish it! Please give my students the opportunity to have this once in a lifetime hands-on experience.
